Go to Settings > Billing and select a new plan from the pricing options shown there. Plan changes take effect immediately, and any price difference is prorated for the rest of your current billing period.

Go to Settings > Billing > Payment Methods to add a new card or Direct Debit mandate, and mark it as your default. Your previous payment method stays on file until you remove it, in case a charge is still pending against it.

If you have an offer code, enter it in the Offer Code field shown when starting a subscription from Settings > Billing - the discount is validated and applied automatically before you're charged.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings > Billing and select Cancel Subscription. You can choose to cancel immediately or at the end of your current billing period - your data is retained either way, in case you want to reactivate later.

Add shifts by clicking a day and choosing an employee, or use Auto-Schedule to let the AI scheduler suggest a full week based on availability and past patterns. Go to Team > Employees and select Add Employee. Enter their name and email - they'll receive an invite to set up their own login and the MyShifts mobile app. You can invite employees one at a time or, for larger teams, ask your account admin about a bulk import.

What is the difference between locations and departments?

A location is a physical site (e.g. a specific store or restaurant address) - each has its own schedule, clock-in geofence, and staff list. A department is a grouping within a location (e.g. Kitchen, Front of House) used for reporting and role-based scheduling. Most businesses only need locations; departments are optional and helpful once a single site has distinct teams.

How does the 14-day trial work?

How does AI auto-scheduling work?

Auto-Schedule looks at each employee's availability, skills, and recent hours, then proposes a full week of shifts that avoids gaps and unfair overtime distribution. It's a starting point, not a final answer - review the suggestions, make any manual edits, then publish when you're happy with it.

How do shift swaps and coverage requests work?

Employees can request to swap a shift with a colleague or ask for coverage directly from the mobile app. Managers see these requests under Approvals, and can approve, decline, or suggest an alternative covering employee before it affects the published schedule.

Can I save and reuse a schedule template?

Yes - once you've built a week you're happy with, save it as a template from the schedule toolbar. Templates can be applied to future weeks in one click and adjusted as needed, which is useful for locations with a fairly stable weekly pattern.

How do employees get notified when a schedule is published?

When you publish a schedule, every affected employee gets a push notification (if they have the app installed) and an email with their shifts for that week. Any later edit to an already-published shift triggers a fresh notification so nobody misses a change.

How does GPS clock-in work?

Employees clock in and out from the mobile app, which checks their location against the geofence you've set for that location (Locations > edit location > Clock-in radius). This confirms they're actually on-site without requiring separate hardware. GPS data is encrypted at rest and only used for attendance verification.

Can I edit a clocked-in shift after the fact?

Managers and admins can adjust clock-in/out times from Time Clock > review entries, for example to correct a forgotten clock-out. Every manual edit is logged with who made the change and when, so there's always an audit trail.

As employees approach your organization's overtime threshold for the week, both the employee and their manager get a notification. This is informational - MyShifts doesn't block clock-ins over the threshold, it just flags it early enough to adjust the schedule if needed.

How does timesheet approval work?

At the end of each pay period, employees can review and submit their timesheet from the app. Managers see submitted timesheets under Approvals, can query or correct anything before approving, and approved timesheets are what feeds into your payroll export.
